For the first time at APS Meetings, Fraunhofer IAPT welcomes you at their Immersive Workshop on Biomimetics
The Fraunhofer Research Institution for Additive Manufacturing Technologies IAPT is part of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaf Institute, which is one of the largest application-oriented research organizations with more than 25,000 employees in Europe. The Fraunhofer IAPT is one of the world's leading institutions for scientific-industrial technology transfer in the field of 3D printing. The focus is on the application of additive technologies in the key areas of aerospace, ship and rail, machinery and tooling, as well as polymers and medical technology for series production in the sense of rapid and bionic manufacturing.
What is Biomimetics ?
In a practical exercise, you will be led to solve a design engineering problem by applying biomimetic methods!
Who can join ?
- Desing engineers
- Contractors & Decision Makers
- Creative minds
- Business drivers
Position : Head of Additive Academy at Fraunhofer IAPT. Since 2016 Jochen Loock is working on the Additive Academy where he has trained more than 1.000 participants from leading companies in Additive Manufacturing.
Program : October 7 & 8, 2020
There will be two workshops a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
